At Rapid7, I wrote everything from button copy to technical documentation. As a Senior UX and Technical Writer, I tackled the challenge of making cybersecurity understandable and easy to use.
I worked on InsightVM, a vulnerability management platform, helping security professionals identify, assess, and remediate vulnerabilities in their IT environments. My day-to-day involved collaborating with product managers, engineers, UX designers, and researchers to translate vulnerability concepts into guidance that made sense to users.

Report Builder
This wizard helped users create reports with customizable templates and audience-specific optimization, so security teams could generate executive summaries or dive deep into technical details.
User selects the type of report they want to build: 1. Pre-built Reports 2. CSV File Report 3. Customized Dashboard Report

User enters a report name (required) a description (optional,) and the names of coworkers if they want to share the report. User can also chose to run the report on a recurring schedule.

Custom Policy Builder
Custom Policy Builder is a tool that allows security teams to create and modify security policies without writing complex code, allowing them to copy existing policies and customize them to fit their specific requirements. I wrote the CTAs and modals, while the policy titles, rules in the tree list, field names, and the field options were imported from a national database.
User chooses a pre-made security checklist (like one for Windows or Macs) and makes a copy to customize
